SLS Europe Lda. is a Portuguese company, based in Viana do Castelo, dedicated to the sale and manufacture of interior and exterior comfort solutions for homes and businesses.
2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between SLS Europe and its customers in the supply, installation and servicing of products.
3. Products and Services
SLS Europe offers:
- Products manufactured in-house (e.g. mosquito nets);
- Third-party products (e.g. pergolas, awnings and complementary systems);
- Installation, maintenance, and technical support services.
4. Guarantees and Assistance
4.1 Products manufactured by SLS Europe
The solutions manufactured by SLS Europe benefit from a 3 (three) year warranty, applicable to the frame (aluminium) and the netting, provided they are used under normal conditions.
Warranty exclusions
- Damage caused by domestic animals (e.g. dogs and cats);
- Natural wear and tear of components (e.g. wires, bearings);
- Misuse, neglect, or intervention by unauthorised third parties.
Installation conditions:
- Bolted fixing: full warranty for a period of 3 years;
- Adhesive fixing: not covered by warranty. In case of detachment, the intervention will be considered paid technical assistance.
Warranty activation
In the event that a warranty claim is necessary, the customer must contact SLS Europe, describing the situation and, whenever possible, attaching photographic evidence. SLS Europe will proceed with an analysis and will indicate the next steps, including any necessary technical intervention.
SLS Europe commits to responding to requests as soon as possible, taking into consideration the nature of each situation.
After-sales support:
After the warranty period, SLS Europe continues to provide technical assistance and parts supply, subject to quotation.
4.2 Products not manufactured by SLS Europe
For products marketed but not manufactured by SLS Europe (e.g.: pergolas, awnings):
- A 2-year warranty applies, in accordance with the law.
- The specific conditions are defined by each manufacturer.
The specific conditions are entirely defined by their respective manufacturers, who are responsible for setting the warranty and support rules.
SLS Europe ensures the intermediation of the warranty and technical assistance process, as defined by the manufacturer.
5. Budgets
The budgets presented by SLS Europe:
- They are valid for the indicated period.
- They may be subject to change if there are technical or commercial modifications.
- Consider the installation conditions assessed at the time of the proposal.
6. Payments
The payment terms will be defined in the quote or commercial proposal.
SLS Europe Lda. offers, among others, the following payment methods: bank transfer, MB reference, and MBWay.
Any payment made at the time of installation should be made directly to SLS Europe Lda., using the indicated methods, and never to the installation technician.
Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in:
- Suspension of services;
- Delivery delays;
- Application of additional costs.
7. Delivery and Installation Deadlines
The stated deadlines are estimates and may vary depending on:
- Material availability;
- Weather conditions;
- Installation complexity;
- External factors to SLS Europe.
8. Returns and Refunds
As these are bespoke and custom-made solutions, returns or refunds are not accepted, except in the following situations:
- Impossibility of installation due to measurement error attributable to SLS Europe;
- Delivery or installation delays that are clearly disproportionate to what was previously agreed.
When responsibility for measurements lies with the customer, there will be no right to return or receive a refund.
The impossibility of installation, due to the customer's unavailability or loss of interest, does not entitle the customer to a return or refund, nor does it exempt them from paying for the order in full.
8. Responsibility
SLS Europe shall not be held liable for:
- Damage resulting from incorrect use of products;
- Interventions carried out by unauthorised third parties;
- Inadequate structural conditions of the installation site, including uneven, unstable, or unprepared surfaces;
- Problems arising from leaks, damp, cracks or other pre-existing pathologies;
- Technical limitations previously communicated to the client.;
- Situations where the client chooses solutions that do not align with SLS Europe's technical recommendation.
SLS Europe reserves the right to refuse facilities that do not meet the appropriate technical conditions.
10. Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the products is the responsibility of the customer and must follow the recommendations of SLS Europe.
Inadequate maintenance may compromise the proper functioning of the systems and, in some cases, the validity of the warranty.
11. Alterations and Validity
SLS Europe reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
The changes will not have retroactive effects on contracts already entered into, with the conditions in effect at the date of the customer's award remaining valid.
The present Terms and Conditions come into effect on 01/01/2026.
12. Acceptance
The awarding of any proposal or quote submitted by SLS Europe implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
In the event of a dispute, the competent court shall be the district court of SLS Europe's registered office, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction.
